*** Getting to the Hat Express Vessel *** February
11, 2017 ***
The Port of Everett is undergoing changes every month. In the past month they
closed off the 14th Street exit. You now need to proceed north to the 13th
Street/Craftsman Way entrance, then proceed past Scuttlebutt (or after visiting
Scuttlebutt), veer to the left on an unnamed road (there may be small
directional signs depending on the day!), then turn left to come into the
parking lot the back way by the Marina restroom facility. Want to go back?
Reverse this route. As we get updates on construction and rerouting of traffic
within the Port we will keep you posted. Please park in the appropriate parking
areas. See parking information below.
Parking for the Hat Island Ferry is according to how long your stay will be on
the Island. You have
three choices as described below.
Up to 72 hours. Free. Park in any slot marked Public
Up to one week. Free, if you register for “Long Term
Parking” at the Marina Office and park in designated long term spaces.
However, each time you move your car you must re-register. Please note that
although the long-term parking option is currently free and unlimited, it is
assumed that as the district begins to develop over the next 4 to 7 years,
changes to their policies are likely to emerge.
Long Term Parking.
The Port of Everett provides long-term
parking spaces (limited to 40 permits) as shown on the
attached aerial photo. These spaces are preferred parking and will only
be available to Hat Island owners who have purchased an annual parking pass
thru the Hat Island Office.
For 2017, these passes cost $500. After December 31st 2016, the Port will
approve any additional passes granted to Hat Island users. The HICA office
provides the Port with a list of vehicles having purchased these passes. The
Port will patrol, ticket, boot, and tow vehicles parked in this area without
area for loading/unloading for the ferry is provided in the vicinity of the
