Parking in Everett (Effective January 15, 2014)

Hat Express embarks and discharges passengers at her berth behind the Everett Yacht Club Building located at the western most end of 13th street in the Central Docks (blue signage) of the Port of Everett off Marine View Drive.

Parking for the Hat Island Ferry is according to how long your stay will be on the Island. You have three choices as described below.

  • Up to 72 hours. Free. Park in any slot marked Public Parking.

  • Up to one week. Free, if you register for “Long Term Parking” at the Marina Office and park in designated long term spaces. However each time you move your car you must reregister. Please note that although the long-term parking option is currently free and unlimited, it is assumed that as the district begins to develop over the next 4 to 7 years, changes to their policies are likely to emerge.

  • Paid Long Term Parking. The port will provide 50 spaces as shown on the attached sketch. These spaces will be preferred parking and will only be available to Hat Island Owners who have purchased an annual parking pass thru the Hat Island Office. For 2014 these passes will cost $125 and there are only 50 passes available. The Port will patrol, ticket, boot, and tow vehicles parked in this area without a pass. We will provide the Port a list of vehicles having purchased these passes.

  • Load/Unload. An area for loading/unloading for the ferry is provided in the vicinity of the Everett Yacht Club building.

You can contact the Port of Everett security office at anytime at 425-388-0672 or via e-mail at edm@portofeverett.com or kenc@portofeverett.com.

Passenger Ferry Rules

To assure safe passage, there are specific rules for using the passenger ferry. Click here to read them... Ultimately, though, the ferry captain has final judgment and authority.

Garbage

Hat island has a designated area for our garbage and recycling. It is located in the fenced area on the NE most corner of the Everett Yacht Club Building. The area will remain locked and the ferry crew will open it upon arrival in Everett.
